My Grand grand father ( My father's grandfather) has 3 siblings.One of his brother named Alakyang migrated{hehehe parang nag bang bansa} to the province of La Union in the mountanious barrio of Cuenca and settled there. My brother together with my Pop and Mom attended our annual family reunion organized by the offspring of Lolo Alakyang. As we walked towards the venue, my mother was angry because we have to hike a hill, passed through rice fields and balanced ourselves as we walked through makeshift tree bridges to cross canals. I try to calm her down, encouraging her that older relatives are already surely in the venue already and if they can do it, why can't she do it.
